BSA 441 b50 clutch case weld repair.

Posted by – March 21, 2010

The proper procedure would involve mounting the cases on sufficiently accurate drill press or milling table. I wanted to leave engine in as the end repair value would not justify outside leg work. I thought this might encourage some to tackle that stripped case screw hole or repair weld that case that got worn by a loose primary chain. I formed and shaped the bosses to the stock height and shape then with ample fluid tapped the 26tpi thread by hand first using the case & dowel to line it up.
