Nice design. I have the same drill press and need to extend my table crank handle. I’m curious where you bought the rod coupler, or how you made it. TIA

For the coupler I used a larger piece of rod, drilled it to the extension shaft diameter and then bored one end (on my metal lathe) for a good fit on the gearbox shaft. If you look close you can see I also made a bushing for inside the handle. I cleaned everything really well and used Sta-Brite Silver Solder.

You have incorporated lots of great stuff on your table, at first I thought
the dust collection was overkill till I saw it in action,
I forgot how messy the dust and chips can be:-)
