Very poor quality - screws were loose and in the bottom of the box. One foot is missing, and one fell off. The plastic anvil does not have a hole in it, just looks like someone burnt a mark on the end with a hot iron. Have no idea what the pins are for. No instructions.

This pen press is made with good parts lacking the base. The base had rubber skid pads that just fell off. The base is made of pressed wood with a paper wrapping that looks like wood. This press was not put together correctly at he factory. All mounting bolts were loose and out of alinment. I place one of the metal pins in the plastic sleeve and after lining everything up I tighten the bolts. I clamp it down on my work bench when using it and works good. It is not the best but I am not sure if pen presses going for double the price any better.

This press works very well. My low rating has to do with the construction of the device. It is very wobbly even after tightening all the fasteners. You can work with it but your really need a third hand.

No more bent pens using a vise, the pen press does a much better job with no mistakes. Works great and a good investment if you want to make nice pens

This pen press resembles the one that Penn State Industries sells for $39.99, but looks are where the similarities end. This press arrived with the screws that hold it to the base(particle board base, at that)completely missing. The first time it was used, the handle broke, rendering this piece of junk totally usless. I have now bought 3 Grizzly products: a Pen Press, a mini-lathe, and the G0555 "Ultimate" (ultimate junk is more descriptive) band saw. All have now exited my shop because all the pieces of equipment were not even worth the shipping that I paid, and Amazon picked up the shipping charges on the lathe and the pen press. Either I am ordering the wrong Grizzly products or they are paying folks to write good reviews. Because the products that I have recieved from them have ALL been either Chinese or Tiawanese junk.
